Uno Work Companion — Privacy Policy
Effective: August 19, 2026
This policy covers the
Uno Work Companion browser extension published by
Uno4 Labs LLC ("Uno", "we"). The extension lets the Uno Work application act in
browser tabs you explicitly share with it. Our general
Privacy Policy covers the rest of the Uno Services.
1. What the extension does
The extension receives commands from the Uno Work application open in the same browser and
performs them in tabs you have shared: navigating, clicking, typing, pressing keys, reading the page
URL and title, and capturing a screenshot of the visible area when the application asks for one.
2. Data we collect
The extension collects nothing. It has no analytics, no telemetry, and no
server of its own. It never sends data to Uno4 Labs or to any third party.
All communication happens locally inside your browser, between the Uno Work page and the
extension. Command results — including page titles, URLs and screenshots — are returned only to the
Uno Work application you are signed into, which runs on the machine you control (your Uno box or
your own VM).
3. What the extension can access
- Only shared tabs. The extension acts in tabs the application opened itself and
in tabs you explicitly share from its popup. Other tabs are not read, scripted or captured.
- Permissions on demand. Website access is an optional permission, requested
only when you first share a tab. Installing the extension grants access to no site.
- Session-scoped memory. The list of shared tabs lives in session storage and is
cleared when the browser session ends, when a tab is closed, or when you press "Stop sharing".
- No credentials. The extension does not read, store or transmit passwords,
cookies or authentication tokens. It acts inside sessions you are already signed into; nothing is
extracted from them.
4. What the extension deliberately cannot do
The extension does not execute arbitrary or remotely supplied code. It supports a fixed set of
commands, and every action performed inside a page comes from statically declared functions shipped
with the extension.
5. Permissions and why they are needed
- tabs — to open a tab on request and to report the URL, title and load state of
a shared tab back to the application.
- scripting — to perform clicks, text input and key presses in a shared tab.
- storage — to keep the session-scoped list of shared tabs.
- host permissions (optional) — to act in the sites you share; requested at the
moment you share a tab, never at install time.
6. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process their data.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on this page and in the extension
listing.
