Get $30 in credits for building with Uno

We only take crypto for now, and we know that's a hassle. So here's another way to put money on your balance: do something useful for the product. Five options, one flat rate.

What counts

Five ways to earn credits

Same rate for all of them. Pick whichever is easiest for you — we'd rather have one honest write-up than five polished ones that say nothing.

$30

Write a post

Reddit, LinkedIn, Hacker News, Medium, dev.to — wherever your people are.

  • Your own experience: what you built, why, where you got stuck
  • 500 characters or more
  • At least one screenshot
  • A link to uno.place

Won't count: a rewrite of our landing page, AI-generated filler, "top 10 hosting providers" listicles, or the same text spammed across five subreddits.

$30

Record a video

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Shorts — long or vertical, both work.

  • 3 minutes or more on YouTube, 30 seconds or more for vertical formats
  • Talk about your actual experience with the platform
  • At least one screenshot on screen
  • Say uno.place out loud

Won't count: a slideshow of screenshots, a voice-over on stock footage, or a clip that never shows the product.

$30

Talk to us for 30 minutes

A recorded video call about what works and what doesn't.

  • You've actually used the product — an account and at least one box
  • 30 minutes, recorded with your permission
  • Criticism pays exactly the same as praise

The point: we want to hear what annoyed you. Being polite about it doesn't help either of us.

$30

Ship a project template

An app someone can deploy on their own box to solve a real problem. Publish a public repo with three files:

your-template/
uno-template.yaml# name, size, ports, env, healthcheck
setup.sh# installs on a clean box, safe to re-run
README.md# what it is, which vars to fill in
  • We test it mechanically: clean box of the size you declared → bash setup.sh → healthcheck answers within 5 minutes → a second run breaks nothing → it survives a reboot
  • MIT or Apache-2.0 license
  • Heads-up: the base image ships without docker and git — install them in setup.sh. And docker build won't fit on a 1 GB box, so pull a prebuilt image or declare a bigger size

Most wanted right now: n8n · Ollama + OpenWebUI · Vaultwarden · Uptime Kuma · Grafana + Prometheus · Postgres · a Telegram bot starter.

$30

Report a bug

Something broken, described well enough that we can reproduce it on the first try. That last part is the whole job.

  • Steps to reproduce
  • What you expected and what actually happened
  • Timestamp with timezone
  • Box ID or account
  • A screenshot or a log

Won't count: "it doesn't work" with no reproduction, something we already know about, a feature request in disguise, or raw scanner output.

How it works

Three steps, no forms

No application to fill in, no review board. You message a human and a human answers.

1

Tell us the plan

Message @get_uno_support with what you're about to do. For videos and templates this is required — we'd hate for you to spend a weekend on something we can't accept.

2

Do it, send the link

Publish the post, upload the video, push the repo, or book the call. Then send us the link.

3

Credits land on your balance

Within two business days. Spend them on boxes, LLM calls and hosting — same as money you paid in.

The fine print

Four rules, that's all

1

Disclose it. Posts and videos need one line saying Uno gave you credits for the material. Without it we can't pay — that's the platforms' rule, not ours, and an undisclosed post gets you in trouble, not us.

2

One piece, one payout. Reposting the same text somewhere else pays half.

3

Up to two contributions per account per month. We'd rather spread this across many people than pay one person over and over.

4

Credits aren't cash. They can't be withdrawn or transferred. They're spent on boxes, LLM and hosting.

Found a security issue? Don't post it publicly — write to @get_uno_support or [email protected] and we'll take it from there. Those are handled separately and paid separately.

Pick one and message us

Takes a minute to ask, and you'll know right away whether it counts.
