Uno Work: chats, files and apps on your cloud computer

What you see when you open it

Home comes first: a box to start a task with pictures and files attached, hints taken from your last chats, your apps and widgets. Type a task there and it becomes a chat. The chats sit under Home, grouped by project, each with a status, so you see at once what waits for you.

What happens when you start a chat

You pick the agent: Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode, on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan or on Uno AI. It works in the project folder, on real files. Steps that change things wait for your Allow; you answer from Needs you without opening each chat.

Agents in Uno Work come with Uno's tools already connected. The agent publishes a site, creates a database or puts an app on Home with one call, without keys pasted into the chat.

An agent can start another chat and hand it a task; you see who started it and can write in it too.

What happens when you close the laptop

That depends on where Uno Work runs. On your laptop, the agents stop with it. On Plus and up, Uno Work runs on the cloud computer itself, so chats keep going with the laptop closed. The agent finishes, the chat turns Ready, and you read the result in the morning.

To check on a chat from your phone, open Uno Work in the phone’s browser: Settings → Phone shows a code to scan. Or use the free T3 Code app from the App Store or Google Play: turn on Settings → Developer → Dev mode, then Settings → Phone → Pair a mobile app (T3 Code), and scan the code with the camera button inside the app. In the app you see your projects and chats, write, start a new chat in a project, answer the agent’s questions and approvals, and stop a reply. The phone reaches a cloud computer from anywhere; Uno Work on a laptop only from the same network.

With nothing to do for 10 minutes, the cloud computer falls asleep with its memory saved, and wakes when you open it. A long job keeps it awake.

What happens to your files

A file you attach to a chat lands in ~/Uploads on the computer, and the agent is told where it is. Files of any kind work: pictures, documents, spreadsheets, archives, code. Every file open in the panel has a Download button.

What you want to keep goes to the cloud. Open Files, then Cloud storage: uploads of any size, up to your plan's storage. Cloud storage stays when you delete a computer, so a new computer finds your files where you left them.

What happens when an agent builds an app

An app an agent builds gets a name, an icon and a Start button on Home. Uno starts it within about 20 seconds and again after every restart. Ask for a widget and you get a small live card of the app on Home: today's orders, the uptime of your sites, a to-do list. You add it with Customize widgets, then Add widget.

Inside the window, the panel shows the app. To open it on your phone: Show on the internet gives an app its own https link, after you approve it. A page with no server code goes up as a site instead, free.

What Uno, the assistant chat, does

Uno is the assistant chat pinned on top: it can find and read your chats and start new ones. Ask it what your agents did overnight, or to split a job between two chats. You choose what it thinks with in Settings, then AI, then Assistant: Uno AI, your Claude plan, your ChatGPT plan or your own key. Uno can answer you in Telegram once you connect a bot.

What it does not do

• No Uno Work in the cloud on Small: on Small the computer is a bare server for your own agent; Uno Work in the cloud starts with Plus.
• On your laptop, chats stop when the laptop sleeps. Only the cloud computer keeps them going.
• The cloud computer sleeps when idle. A Telegram bot on long polling stops answering until the computer wakes; a bot on a webhook wakes it.
• An agent never buys anything, changes your plan or deletes other computers.
• Daily copies of your computer: Uno Work does not show the copies yet, only the console does.
• Not on every account yet: several assistants and assistant schedules are on for a few accounts so far.
