Disk or cloud storage
Use the disk for what the computer runs: it is fast and simple, and tied to one computer. Use cloud storage for what has to outlive it. A separate S3 bucket elsewhere is one more bill and one more login; here it comes with the computer.

What goes there
Backups
Dump a database or archive a project and copy it out. If the computer breaks, the copy is somewhere else.
What your agent makes
Reports, exports, images, scraped data. Your agent writes them once, and any computer of yours can read them.
Files for your site
Images, downloads and pages. A folder becomes a public address without a separate hosting bill.
How you reach it
You reach it from Uno Work (Files, Cloud storage), the console, your agent over API and MCP, and presigned links. You do not install a server for it and you do not patch it.
- Uno Work. Open Files, then Cloud storage. Drop a file in, and every computer of yours sees it.
- The console. The Storage page lists your buckets and files, takes uploads and shows how much room is left.
- Your agent. It saves, finds and shares files through Uno's API and MCP tools. Ask it in plain words.
- Your code. It asks the Uno API for a presigned link and sends the file to it. Code for Python and JavaScript.
S3 access keys for your own tools are not available yet, so the AWS CLI or rclone cannot log in to it directly. Use a link from your code instead.
What happens when you delete a computer
Nothing happens to your files. Create a new computer and they are still there. You can delete a computer you no longer need without a backup chore first: what matters is already outside it. Plan changes work the same way: move up or down any time, files and computers come with you.
How much you get
Storage grows with the plan. Plus has 100 GB next to a 40 GB disk: room for the working copy and for everything you keep. Even a free account has room for site files.

Sites that do not need the computer awake
Publish a folder and it gets a public https address on uno4.me, free. Uno hosts the copy, not your computer, so a static site stays up while your computer sleeps. Add a password if it is not for everyone.
What it does not do
- It is not a disk. Files are written and read whole, not edited in place the way a program edits a folder.
- No S3 access keys for your own tools yet. Files go through Uno Work, the console, your agent or a presigned link.
- Space is capped by your plan. Need more room: move up a plan.
