Where you read it
On a computer that runs Uno Work in the cloud, open Uno Work, then Settings, Security, Who got in. Filter by All, You, AI agents, Uno or SSH. Every other computer keeps the same log: read it over the API, at /security/access-log of each computer. In the console, the Access page lists every key and app that can reach your computers, with See activity next to each.
Agents on the computer cannot read the log or open the computer to the internet: the computer's own key is refused. Only you can, from your account.
What Uno does on its own
Some work needs no person: waking and sleeping, freezing the disk before a copy, setting up the AI key, the What it's doing screen, reading the SSH log. Each is a row, and a day of them folds into one line, so they do not bury what matters.
| The row says | What it means |
|---|---|
| N automatic operations by Uno | Waking, sleeping, the daily copy and other routine work. Open the line to see each one |
| Uno maintenance: reason | A person or a tool from Uno worked on your computer and wrote why first. The row carries a reference |
| Uno used its key without a record | Uno's key was used and no record matches it. The row promises: "We'll explain this here within 24 hours." |
What happens when a person from Uno needs in
To fix a broken network or roll out an update, Uno can work on your computer without asking first. The rule is the record: the row with the reason goes into your log before the command runs, and every command through Uno's channel carries a signed record. You see "Uno maintenance" and why, not a mystery.
What a red row means
A red row reads "Uno used its key without a record". It means Uno's key was used and nothing in Uno's records explains it. Uno owes you an answer in that same place within 24 hours.
The answer comes as a new row. The red row stays as it was: Uno does not edit rows. Sometimes the cause is Uno's own automatic check that the log failed to match in time, and the explanation says so plainly.
What a row keeps, and what it does not
- Every row
- Who, when, from where, through what, why
- Commands
- A fingerprint, not the text
- How far back
- 30 days, up to 90 by API
The log knows that a command ran and who ran it, but keeps the command only as a SHA-256 fingerprint. What you type stays yours. SSH sign-ins are read from your computer's own system log.
Who can reach your computer
In Uno Work, the same Security page decides where your computer answers from. Uno Work itself always stays reachable, behind your Uno sign-in.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| SSH | On or off. Off closes the command line to your own terminal |
| Open to the internet | Off: apps and ports do not answer from outside, yet still open for you inside Uno Work |
| Only these ports | Only the ports you tick answer |
| Only these addresses | Only your office or home addresses get through |
| Through a VPN | Only devices on a VPN that runs on your computer get through |
What you get that a plain VPS does not give
A plain VPS gives you root and leaves you guessing who else was there. Here is what Uno adds.
It sleeps when idle and keeps its memory
With nothing to do for 10 minutes it falls asleep with every program still in memory. A visitor, a bot message or you wake it. Every hour asleep earns you a boost.
An AI agent sets it up for you
Tell Uno what you need in a chat. It installs, configures and starts it on your computer, and you watch every command it runs. Or bring Claude Code or Codex with your own subscription.
Fast where it counts
NVMe disks and DDR5 with error correction (ECC). On 16 vCPU an Uno computer scores like a MacBook Air M4 in Geekbench 6: a second MacBook in the cloud for $70 a month.
A clean address of your own
Traffic can leave through a static address of a regular internet provider in one of 8 countries, used only by your account. Fewer captchas for your agent's browser.
Nothing happens unseen
Every time Uno itself touches your computer, it goes to your access log: who, when and why.
What Uno does not promise
- Uno does not promise that it cannot get in. Root on the physical server can reach a computer's disk and memory without leaving a row.
- The log shows that a command ran and why, not what the command said.
- A red row is sometimes Uno's own automation. You still get the explanation, as a new row.
- The log covers the ways in that go through Uno and your computer's own sign-ins. A program you run that opens its own door is yours to watch.
