What is the same on a server
Both tools install with one command, run on Ubuntu or Debian, and sign in without a browser on the server. You approve the sign-in on your laptop. Then each runs a task in the project folder, edits files and starts commands. Start either one inside tmux or as a service and it keeps working after you close SSH.

What a month costs
The tools themselves are free to install. You pay for the plan that powers them, and for the server. A Claude plan and a ChatGPT plan start at the same $20 a month. Higher tiers of both start at $100. Claude Code shares its usage limits with the rest of your Claude plan. Codex limits depend on your plan and the model. Read the vendor's current limits before you plan an overnight run.
Where Uno is worse
- Uno does not replace either subscription. Claude Code and Codex draw on your plan, and its limits apply. Uno AI is a separate way to power the tools: Uno AI inside Claude Code, Codex, opencode.
- Uno AI runs on Uno's models. Claude, GPT, Gemini per token from premium credit ($15 Pro, $25 Max) or a top-up.
- Small has 1 GB of memory (2 GB with a boost), less than either tool asks for. Start from Plus, with 4 GB.
- Our vCPU are shared, not dedicated, and computers run in Netherlands today. A plain VPS with more memory per dollar is cheaper if you only need a place to run one tool.
Both tools meet the same internet. Give them a clean address of their own
Your computer runs in the Netherlands. Its traffic can leave through a static address of a regular internet provider in one of 8 countries. Only your account works from that address.

- Sites see a server range shared with thousands of strangers. The agent's browser hits more captchas and blocks.
- From your Clean exit IP
- Sites see a regular internet provider's address in the country you picked. Fewer captchas, and less reason for Claude or ChatGPT to flag your account: nobody else works from it.
